Brand Development - Glass Packaging Institute
The Glass Packaging Institute (GPI), an association representing glass container manufacturers and suppliers in North America, enlisted the Lindberg Group to develop a comprehensive marketing and communications plan to increase national consumer awareness about the benefits of choosing and recycling glass containers. The Lindberg Group has worked with GPI on a number of activities, including redeveloping the GPI logo and brand; creating a new website, including content and design; facilitating successful social media programs through Facebook, Twitter, and various blogs; creating monthly e-newsletters and podcasts; implementing successful industry and recycling events; developing new photography; conducting research and surveys; and implementing a creative advertising program.
With the help of the Lindberg Group, the association has increased its membership; traffic has increased by 500 percent to the GPI website; and GPI has received over 1 billion media impressions through a variety of mainstream, consumer-focused outlets, including the Associated Press, New York Times, Los Angeles Times, and The Baltimore Sun, and an increase in media coverage in leading trade publications such as Package Design, Packaging Digest, Beverage Industry, Food and Beverage Packaging, and Recycling Today.
